Public Building
Texas DSHS requires Licensing and notification for any disturbance of asbestos containing material in public building.
Home Renovation
Texas DSHS exclude private homes from licensing . There still is OSHA
29CFR1926.1101 Asbestos Construction Standard, itrequires protection of workers from asbestos exposure. Asbestos is known to be found in older homes in floor tile, attic insulation, wiring, sheetrock mud and transite siding.
Scope and application. This section regulates asbestos exposure in all shipyard employment work as defined in 29 CFR part 1915, including but not limited to the following:* Demolition or salvage of structures, vessels, and vessel sections where asbestos is present;* Removal or encapsulation of materials containing asbestos;* Construction, alteration, repair, maintenance, or renovation of vessels, vessel sections, structures, substrates, or portions thereof, that contain asbestos; ect.

OCT is an Asbestos License Training provider in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and Arkansas. Above classes are only for Texas accreditation. If other State(s) accreditation are needed there is a notification required to the state. Advance notice is required to be given to OCT and additional payment will be added to price of course.
